At Computational Biomedical Systems, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our collaborators, partners, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or contact us about research collaboration.

01.Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including name, email address, optional phone number, organisation, and details of your research enquiry when you submit the contact form or email us.

We automatically collect certain technical data when you visit our website, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed.

Please do not send us Protected Health Information or patient data through this website. See our HIPAA page for how research data is handled under a formal agreement.

02.How We Use Your Information

To respond to enquiries, scope potential research collaborations, and administer any engagement we agree to undertake.

To communicate with you about project milestones, published work, and relevant opportunities for collaboration.

To comply with legal obligations applicable to us as a research entity.

To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

03.HIPAA & Protected Health Information

Computational Biomedical Systems does not currently operate as a covered entity or business associate, and this website is not a channel for transmitting Protected Health Information.

Where a clinical collaboration would involve PHI, we execute a Business Associate Agreement and a data-use arrangement with the participating institution before any data is shared.

We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the engagement. See our HIPAA Compliance page for full details.

04.Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit and role-based access controls for our internal systems.

Enquiry data submitted through this site is stored in a controlled database accessible only to the team.

Research data handled under a clinical collaboration is governed by the data-use terms of that specific agreement, which take precedence over this policy.

05.Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share enquiry data only with service providers necessary to operate this website, and with research partners where a collaboration requires it.

We may share aggregated, de-identified information for research or reporting purposes.

We may disclose information when required by law, including valid court orders or regulatory investigations.

06.Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses essential cookies for site functionality and any analytics cookies to understand visitor behavior. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

07.Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also request a portable copy of your data at any time.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what information we collect and to request deletion.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at cbmslabs+privacy@gmail.com.

08.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our website.

Your continued use of this website after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
